RE: AZ GOVERNOR DOUG DUCEY ANNOUNCES STAY AT HOME ORDINANCE

(Expires according to state or federal order)

To Home Assist Health Employees:

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Douglas A. Ducey has declared Stay at Home Ordinance effective March 31st at 5pm. This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health of Arizona citizens.

In the interest of protecting citizens living with the challenges of aging, physical and developmental disabilities, Governor Ducey has declared our services, Home and Community Based Services, and our workforce as essential critical workers and exempt from stay at home orders for the purpose of conducting essential critical work during the COVID-19 public health emergency. In addition, the United States Department of Labor (DOL) has also defined our workforce as essential and critical to our healthcare infrastructure.

Your work is essential for protecting our most vulnerable citizens. Home base care allows our members to remain at home where they are safe, and with your help, contain the spread of COVID-19.

For work related transport, we have prepared and attached a verification of essential worker classification. You can also obtain this letter from our website under caregiver forms, your supervisor or human resources.

Because of you, our communities are stronger and safer at home. Thank you for your commitment to helping our members, you are needed now more than ever.

Sincerely yours,

Sara Wilson President, CEO
