Congratulations to Kayla Lonnie, who has been selected as our Caregiver of the Month for January! Kayla has been working at Home Assist Health since February of 2022. She got into this line of work because she was assisting with a family member who also had a caregiver. She ended up applying to be a full-time caregiver, and since then has taken on more members as well as her family member. Kayla would tell new caregivers to have a lot of patience and to have a drive to do this job. She also thinks a well-rounded caregiver should give back to the community.
When she is not working, Kayla likes to spend time with her grandchildren, go out to eat with her friends and watch television. Some of her favorite things are eating out at restaurants and Mexican food, and her favorite color is purple. #caregiver #caregiving #caregiverofthemonth
