As the new year begins, there are many changes that happen. One thing that remains consistent is the quality and compassionate care our Home Assist Health team provides every day, every visit! As we begin 2022, Home Assist Health is honored to announce our first Caregiver of the Month, Georgina Davis. Georgina consistently focuses on her clients and makes each feel like family. Her journey as a caregiver with Home Assist Health began in October of 2020. From the words of her supervisors, ” Georgina is dependable and always on time. She is very attentive to her members needs and provides the best quality care.”
The initial reason Georgina became a caregiver was to care for her grandmother and grandfather and she did that all the way until their passing. After they passed, she realized that she had a desire and passion to care for others which is why she stayed on to help other members (which she has a lot of). A great example of Georgina going above and beyond was when she had a Spanish speaking member to take care of without knowing a drop of Spanish. Her desire to help was so great not even the language barrier could stop her from helping a member in need. She would use her phone to translate and communicate with her member on how to best assist them. This feat required a lot of patience which is what Georgina preaches. When asked what advice she would give to someone considering becoming a caregiver, Georgina stated, ” have a lot of patience and love because caring for a member can be a lot of work. The desire to help should come from your heart and not for the pay.”
