Home Assist Health is proud to announce our December Caregiver of the Month, Monica De La Garza. Monica is often described as the modern-day superwoman by the way she manages her many responsibilities, and calmly finds solutions to challenges that arise. She is a full-time mother, wife, and has a full-time job outside of caring for her member. Her journey as a caregiver started back in 2014 when her husband was approved for Arizona long term care system (ALTCS). Ever since then Monica has continuously demonstrated excellent care to her member. When asked what advice she would give others looking to join the industry, she said, “have a lot patience and be open minded. Don’t forget about self care because that’s how you avoid problems.”
