Did you know that DCW’s are in the same category as doctors, nurses and other clinical therapists in terms of priority to get the COVID-19 vaccine? Last month we shared a variety of resources available regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. Our ultimate goal is to help you understand the answers to any and all of your questions. Here’s a link to the COVID-19 FAQs for review.

If you missed our Facebook Live in January, we had the pleasure of having Sherry Stotler, Chief Nursing Officer from Valleywise Health, as our guest. Ms. Stotler answered many important questions about both the Pfizer and the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. Here is the link if you missed it or want to watch again: COVID-19 Vaccine Facebook LIVE

The vaccine offers protection and security to perform the job of caring for people in need. Getting the vaccine reduces the risk of getting the virus. Please remember that you can still transmit the virus, and until our infection rates go down, please continue to wear your masks, wash your hands, and remain socially distant.

Please note: The registration process has changed and now must be completed on a computer, as the registration does not work on a phone or tablet.

Remember two doses are required for Moderna and the Pfizer vaccines. Both doses of the vaccine must be administered in order for it to be effective. Be sure that you are able to attend both appointments.
